In the news window on your homepage there is a blurb about a pancake breakfast every second Sunday of each month(or words to that effect). Is that true? Do you guys really serve a pancake breakfast? If its just a joke, I suggest you really consider doing it. Its a good thing to do for the community and is good for the moral of all involved.

Jack -- in answer to your question, yes, we do indeed serve a community pancake breakfast the second Sunday of each month. If you're ever in Glendale, I hope you'll join us for a stack! Here's some pix from last Sundays shindig: ![](http://www.sierramadrenews.net/smvfa/flapjack/2k4/pancak32k4_02.jpg) ( from l to r) Albert Calleros, Dave Lee, and an exuberant Pete Avanzino work magic on the griddles. ![](http://www.sierramadrenews.net/smvfa/flapjack/2k4/pancak32k4_06.jpg) Sylvia Ramirez mans the beverage tubs. ![](http://www.sierramadrenews.net/smvfa/flapjack/2k3/smvfaflap2k3_05.jpg) Jorge Linares explains the fine points of "griddle caking" to first-time flapjacker Rachel Stratton. ![](http://www.sierramadrenews.net/smvfa/flapjack/2k4/pancak32k4_16.jpg) "Another rousing success!" so says this trio of Glendale transvestites.

Um, I worked at Rough draft doing layout for about a two months and know (or "know of") a lot of the people mentioned in the captions below those fotos, and those aren't them. What I mean is those aren't the people you say they are. It looks like you just linked a bunch of pix from some other website (I'm guessing a local fire dept since in the first foto one of the guy's shirts clearly reads "SIERRA MADRE FIRE DEPT") and wrote phoney captions to them. Why do you guys do shit like that? Its not funny and its demeaning to the OPs question. In fact its pretty immature and stupid. If you haven't guessed by now, my dad was a fire fighter in Thousand Oaks and died battling a brush fire in Malibu Canyon- the day before the Thousand Oaks Fire Depts annual pancake breakfast. It was the worst birthday of my life. Just think a little more before you make jokes like this, OK guys? Some of us don't find it too ammusing. Peace.
