Hey fellow 'mation lovers, I'm visiting all the animation message boards to post a link to the Save FATHER OF THE PRIDE petition. Please click below and sign the petition: www.petitiononline.com/SaveFotP/We have 1,854 signature thus far and I urge you to add your voice to the cause. FOTP is an intelligent, funny, rare gem and too often these shows do not survive. I've watched it happen to Futurama, Family Guy, Gary The Rat, but I'll be damned to sit quietly and watch FOTP die a dishonorable death due to low ratings and so called "confused demographics." This is a quality show that deserves our support. The medium of animation has treated you guys in the business well; its time to return the favor. Dude, ...that show was cancelled before it even hit the air. Don't mean to be harsh, but it's gone the way of our friend Gary the Rat. Deal.

If Rich Moore was in charge of Father, that show would still be on the air. And destined for Emmys!

rikki rakko If you are indeed an animation professional (which I have my doubts) all I can say is SHAME ON YOU. Alot of hard work and effort goes into producing an episode of FOTP, moreso than any other animated show on the air, past or present. These are true artists practicing their craft and flexing their creative muscles, and your smug, self-complacent attitude is a slap in these folks faces. Comments along the lines of the show being DOA shows disrepect to not only these fantastic animation artists but the fans of their work as well. The petition now has 2804 signitures; ok, not huge, but the feelings amoung the fans is genuine and heartfelt. The following is a sampling of our supporters and their comments: 453. D. S. O'Neill FotP is a funny, creative, groundbreaking show. Is it because it's animated that it's being cancelled or is it just way easier to make those really lame reality TV shows? 1004. Nick There isn't much to say except Father of the Pride NEEDS to be continued. 2111. Austin VanRider Best animated show on TV, DON'T KILL IT! I want to keep watching it!!! 2776. Austin Schnitzel The animated "reality show" on Comedy central is still going strong - and their idea of humor is purely sophomoric. As a CG-animated sitcom, Pride beats Drawn Together in every aspect. Don't waste this golden opportunity! No where on there do I see a rikki rakko...so why not drop the hate r.r. and do some good? Keith Ballard, Author of the Save FATHER OF THE PRIDE Petition btw-FOTP is perfect the way it is. The last thing it needs is the "Rich Moore touch"

Dear Message Board Meanies, I just don't get you guys. I post a link on your website to a petition that champions the medium in which you work, and you procede to make a mockery of it. As animation artists, why on earth would you degrade the art of animation? Do you people have some sort of sick death wish? Hardworking gifted artists have poured their all into a trail blazing new animated show that could open amazing creative avenues for you to follow and you purposely and maliciously booby trap those trails with land mines. Call me young and naive, but I'd prefer that over "certifable". I don't "get" you people, or more likely its you guys that don't "get" it.

Whoa! Hold on there, young 'un...I may not like/approve of Father, but don't go lumping me in with this group. Just because I stumbled upon your link from this message board does NOT mean that I share the same opinions, beliefs, or general mind set of these folks; in fact I made it quite clear a while back that I find their sense of funny most un-funny. As far as your petition is concerned, I do apologize for using it as a forum to voice my dislike for Father; that was wrong of me. However, I do not apologize for my stand on the subject. Take it from an ol' coot that's been watching the tube since before you were born, kiddo: Father ain't worth all the trouble!

dkinnoin, you ABSOLUTELY stepped over the line. Not only is our petition (or any petition, for that matter) NOT a public forum, your comments IMO were crude, tasteless, and frightening. Comments such as "a pair of f@g rabbits" and "if I wanted to see horny, stoned lions get 'busy', I'd go to the zoo and slip the little mexican fellar who washes out the pens a few pesos to slip some viagra and extasy into the lions supper" are homophobic, racist, and just plain scary. So will I lump you in with Rachel and Louis? No. At least they have a sense of humor. You scare me. Your the worst of the bunch. I bet you voted for W, didn't ya?

Keith Ballaed, you've described dkinnoin to the proverbial "T"! This guy is crude, rude and down right dangerous. We had to ask him to leave the TestSite some time ago because he kept posting TV show titles that in his mind sounded profane. Very scary man. And dkinnoin, I would say welcome back to the RDS Message Board, but apparently you never left (LURKER)*.
*Tip of the hat to our own Muerto and his new parenthetical form of "i.e." I likes it, Muerto.

Keith, Let me make one thing perfectly clear, I am not a regular of this site. The exchange that Rikki describes above did indeed happen, but it was Rikki, whose twisted sense of humor is only rivaled by his ability to twist the truth, who made perverse jokes out of the titles of some of our more beloved TV shows; shows that I loved growing up, some of them institutions. We had words, and after that, I should have known better to come within 2 keystrokes of this site, but I do have it bookmarked and check in on occasion. At one of those times, I saw the link to your petition. I am not a fan of Father, on that lets agree to disagree, but I readily admit that it was wrong of me to use your petition as a forum. For that I'm sorry. Lastly, I am not as bad as Rachel and Louis.
Rikki, You amaze me. Just when I think your "humor" has hit its lowest, you manage to kick it DOWN a notch. You are a lying SOB and should be removed from this site. I've encountered some unsavory customers on these here electronic byways, but you take the prize.

Baby Jesus loves Father of the Pride. It's right up thar with "King Ralph" on the list of John Goodman's finest moments as a truely gifted actor.

^^BUMP^^
In retrospect, it's funny how worked up people were over some crummy show that nobody gives a damn about today. I for one can't even remember it -- thanks mostly to good ol' brain cell-killing booze!
