WebMaster®,
How are you? Fine I hope. I come to you today with a suggestion, a simple one. One that would take maybe seven minutes of your busy day, tops. I, and unspoken others, feel it is inappropriate that CHEF buh-ric'S buh-ric OVEN CHOICES (which I feel sounds better as buh-ric OVEN PICKS, but, hey, that's just me) shares the Chef Onyx Message Topic to post his lunchtime picks. It is insulting to both the meal planners to compete in a forum dedicated solely to Chef Onyx. Therefore, we the undersigned, recommend one of the following:
1) An immediate cease and desist order against Chef buh-ric.
2) An impassioned plea for the once illustrious, "out the box thinking" Chef Onyx to step down and make room for new blood.
3) Creating a seperate heading for CHEF buh-ric'S buh-ric OVEN CHOICES.
I for one embrace option #3. Chef buh-ric with this weeks meal picks has illustrated he is in the planning biz and is playing for keeps. Chef Onyx, though submitting a lackluster plan last week and nothing at the time of this request's publication, is still an RDS Message Board institution whose time, I feel, has not come. Conclusion, allow both room to grow and/or enough rope with which to hang themselves. I know this suggestion will not sit well with all (especially long time fans of Chef Onyx) but this is the world we live in today. Complex times.
Thank you, r_r and The Undersigned

You seem to have been stopped in mid-thought, Rikki. But I'll still try to take your suggestion into consideration.

Rikki, I thank you for your kindhearted plea to our devoted webmaster for my own thread. I am humbled by your devotion to the fine art of meal planning, and am in fact so moved, that I will gladly take your suggestion and re-christen my weekly plans as...
CHEF buh-ric'S buh-ric OVEN PICKS.
Kudos to you, my friend.
So Says the buh-ric!

Dear Webmaster,
This so called buh-ric ain't no chef! Any half-assed cook with an ounce of know-how and what-for could tell you that the first step in fryin' up some quality vittles is a pound or two of good old fashioned lard. Just ask my good buddy, Mel. Now there's a fella can make a menu! Wise up sissy boy buh-ric, The Onyx Chef is here to stay!

Might I remind you however, that your lard-slingin' pal Mel is dead. So Says the buh-ric!

Dear R_R and undersigned,
In light of the controversy surrounding the so-called Chef buh-ric, and in consequence of the Onyx Chef's generous embracement in comitatus (brotherly love) of the buh-ric, we here at the RDS Testsite have by unanimous decree created a new MessageBoard topic called "The buh-ric House", where all talk of the buh-ric can take place.
Be warned however, that the Onyx Chef's patience can only be tested up to a point...

There is no instrument on this planet that is capable of measuring my level of anger and astonishment right now. Man, oh man -- what a difference a year (almost) makes! I cannot read my original post at the top of this thread without cringing. I mean it, folks, a literal cring. What a gullible sap I was! I spilled my guts, making an 'impassioned plea" to our own illustrious WebMaster® in order to bring peace between the old war horse, Chef Onyx, and the noobie, Chef buh-ric, and what did it accomplish?
Nada! Zilch! Nuthin'!
Within days after cutting through roll upon roll of red tape in order to create an environment in which the two meal planners could thrive, both dropped off the face of the earth. I don't know which is worse -- Chef Onyx pulling a Bret Haaland and disappearing without so much a word, or Chef buh-ric concocting an asinine excuse that some other guy calling himself buh-ric hi-jacked his message board screen name and was posting meal plans without his knowledge! Un-friggin'-bulievable! Now we have no meal planner. What used to be a sacred, well-respected duty is now a silly joke. And it's not a very funny one. I would ask the WebMaster® to blast this whole pathetic topic into message board oblivion, but I think keeping it alive serves as a reminder to us all how events that seem to matter so much in the moment can turn into flap-fricking-doodle in less than a year.
Chef Onyx and Chef buh-ric...f*ck you both very much.

Hey Rikki,
How do you hide your heart?

Rikki hides his/her heart on his/her sleeve. Out in the open for all to admire and to be inspired by. But, out there it is also vulnerable. And there are some who are jealous, or petty, or intimated by it. And there are some willing to take advantage of it's vulnerability. And they should be pitied. For in attacking it, they only hurt themselves. For in attacking it, they wound the heart. And it becomes scarred and calloused. And the love and inspiration it has brought the world is diminished. And we as a race are diminished. And our souls shine less brightly, that God may not see us in our hour of need. And we will be lost into the darkness, because one person was brave enough, and cared enough to wear his/her heart on their sleeve to share with us.To inspire us. To embrace us.And we forsake that heart, thus wounding it.... and ourselves. I'm sorry rikki, for the wounds. For the betrayal. For myself. And for us all.
